What could be the possible consequences on the mental health of a child who looses his/her mother..? at 9 years of agethrough prolonged sickness like cancer? Psychology - 2 Answers Random Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions : 1 : this will be all based on her interpretation of the event. for example oprah was abused an according to her became very promiscuous . but that changed an we all know how it turned out. so it can move you forward or cripple you. i think knowledge an reading help quite a bit though. i was abused myself but have educated myself enough that it didnt destroy me. 2 : I can't answer for the prolonged sickness, but my mother committed suicide when I was 4 and I'm now 46 so I've had a lot of time to process it. The loss of a parent at any age is traumatizing and can cause difficulty making attachments later (fearing another devastating loss when they get close to someone). A lot depends on the other adults around and how they help the child process the loss. Kids this age often feel somewhat responsible even though to an adult that's completely illogical. These kids need to be reassured that the other parent is not going anywhere. If the other parent was married, he's going through his own grief so that can he may not be fully there for the child. I spent my entire childhood looking for a "mother figure" to replace my mom. If the child can find an adult female, an aunt or family friend, who can be there to talk, share stories or just be an ear, that would be helpful. Read more discussions :

Can people tell me about Why a child care provider must be in good health
Can people tell me about Why a child care provider must be in good health? Other - Education - 8 Answers Random Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions : 1 : A child care provider is around children all day and if they are not healthy they may transport their condition to children, who have les of an immune system. 2 : So that they will show up to work every day and not make the people who are paying them to watch their kids miss work. 3 : You must be joking....? The provider must be healthy so that the children don't catch anything from him/her. 4 : Pretty obvious. TO TAKE CARE OF THE KIDS. If ur sick or disabled or u have a contagious disease then noone would want that type "taking" care of their child. 5 : Because they have to take care of a child. If they are not in good health, then what will happen to the child? For example, if someone is fatally ill, then they can not take care of anyone (especially if theyr'e dead.) right? 6 : Because they dont want the provider to drop dead or pass out with a bunch of kids running around all by themselves!!!!!! 7 : Child care is not the same as 'babysitting'. Today's childcare requires that the caregiver provide children with a rich program of activities which include cognitive, social, emotional, and physical skill building and development. Over 65% of today's children are obese....and we need to provide large motor activities that promote good physical health. Also, we are models of how to be, and being in good physical health is key. To be at our best, we need to be physically fit, mentally and emotionally stable, and knowledgable about children's needs, the world, and about life. Lastly, if you think good child care isn't physical, you're in the total dark about this occupation! It's VERY physically demanding! Prepare to lift at least 40 pounds over and over during the day, and sometimes more. 8 : One active healthy normal small child will exhaust even the fittest of adults...when it comes to keeping up with several youngsters on a daily basis, of course you need to be in good health mentally and physically, for your own sake as well as the children's.

PA's Dem Governor Already Gives Subsidized Child Health Care to People Who Earn Over $850,000
PA's Dem Governor Already Gives Subsidized Child Health Care to People Who Earn Over $850,000?
Even George Soros and Bill Gates would get subsidized healthcare in PA if their insurance bill is more than $150 per month for the kid. There is NO income limit in PA. Why do Dems take money from the truly poor and bribe voters with needless subsidies?

That's how they win elections..........
2 :
That's what they do.
3 :
The more they can give people for FREE the more votes that they buy. People don't stop and think that FREE HEALTH CARE has to be PAID FOR by someone!!! The sheeple will NEVER understand this because they are too busy raking in the freebies to stay home and take drugs while the rest of us work.
4 :
Bush gave approval to 19 states to expand their program to allow people who make more than 2 x the poverty level to get the insurance. A parent can sign up for PA SCHIPs regardless of income if they don't have insurance for their child. If they make more than a certain amount, they pay $150 per child per month. The program is administered through a private insurance company.
5 :
You've got that wrong. The parents pay $150 a month to a private ins company per child IF the child has no other insurance. Not the same as what you claim.
6 :
They'd give away the country for a handfull of votes.
