I don't know about the US but I can tell you you would be in demand in Canada.
2 :
There is more of a demand for the OB doctors or certified midwives than nurses at the moment... especially because the insurance premiums have skyrocketed, and so many can't afford to stay in the field. There are women who have to travel an hour or even more in this country now, just for checkups with their closest doctor let alone to go to the hospital's OB department for any reason. It's a sad situation.
3 :
As far as the medical field goes, you will always have a job. There are always openings somewhere. The trick is that you have to be flexible. The more flexible you are the more job opportunities you'll have.
4 :
There is a severe nursing shortage in the United States. There isn't a hospital system that isn't hiring and unemployment among nurses is practically non-existent. You should be able to find a job!

How is a child’s physical well-being, growth and development linked to their psychological health & well being

How is a child’s physical well-being, growth and development linked to their psychological health & well being?

It's linked because if they are healthy then they are happy.
2 :
I think a child's physical well-being and growth and development actually have a lot to do with their psychological health because when you know there's somethign wrong with you.. you just see yourself below others automatically.. like you can't match up with them no matter what you do. I think that's just natural in the human mind because when most [i'm not saying everyone] people realize they can't win something.. they just give up. I think that's how it is if there's something wrong with someone physically, they'll never feel like they're as good as someone who has completely normal health and growth. And as sad as that is, i think it is true to an extent because people can make themselves see themselves worse than anyone else in the world because we are all our own worst enemies. =\ i hope that kind of helped you get an answer to your question

The child's health is ignored. Mom will not get a doctor. Will nonbiological dad get child if guilty

The child's health is ignored. Mom will not get a doctor. Will nonbiological dad get child if guilty?
When do you know if it is ok to turn a parent if for what you feel is mental abuse or could this be physical abuse? There are many extreme incidents of this compulsive mother that would cause her to be investigated. However, we are non-biological (dad and grandma). We are so affraid the child will be put in a foster home rather than to let us have him. Any thoughts?

You should talk to a family law lawyer. They might be able to give you some free advice. I think you could go through classes to be foster parents, though, and that would help your case. If non-biological dad ever adopted, there is no problem. If not, it will also probably be considered how long he has been in the child's life. The courts do TRY to do what's best for the child.

10 year old child health advice

10 year old child health advice?
We found out yesterday my 10 year old had protein in her urine. We had to go back this morning with another sample, there was a smaller amount of protein this time, but it was still there. They are doing further testing at this time, but I am still a bit worried. I am wondering if anyone knows anything about this topic.

http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/protein-in-urine/HQ01277 What did your doctor tell you? I would have grilled him/her on all the likely scenarios as to why my child would have this problem. Never let a doctor intimidate you into being mute, you pay for their services and it is up to them to explain everything to you.
2 :
Usually this means that she is not eating. Ask the doctor questions about other things that it could mean. Has she been losing weight or been sick recently? I hope everything turns out ok...but do talk to the doctor: don't be afraid to ask ANYTHING, that's what they're there for!
3 :
possible low carb diet
4 :
Protein in the urine can be caused by numerous things. Most clear up on their own. However, there could be kidney problems and your doctor will do further tests to find out what is going on. It is probably not something you need to worry about, but because it can at times be kidney related, you need to have all the tests done. I guess your doctor has told you she should not do anything physicaly stressful at the moment.

How do i get my child an i.d card and health insurance

How do i get my child an i.d card and health insurance?
my child's father is in the military and he has not put him on his insurance and is not receiving the benefits he should and doesn't seem like he is anytime soon. We are not married and i was wondering is there anything i could do to get the benefits my child should recieve. I have talked to him and he does nothing.... i do have his SSN i do recieve child support and on the order it says he is responsible for health insurance and etc he is on the birth certificate i have full custody

Contact your lawyer. I am not certain but I do not believe - since you were not married - that the child is entitled to benefit of health care and ID card. The father is responsible for child support as stipulated by whatever state you live in-- and what the courts deem as fair and reasonable.
2 :
go to the closest military base or armory and ask to speak with someone who has access to DEERS. its the electronic system the military uses to link dependants to their military parents for benefits. you will need to provide a birth certificate with the childs father's name listed on the birth cert. you will also need the childs social security card. it would be very helpful if you had the fathers social security nukmber as well so they can look him up to add dependants. once the child has been entered into DEERS they will issue an ID depending on the childs age. if the child is too young they will not issue an ID. i think 1st grade is the earliest they will ussue an ID. THEN..... once you have your child enrolled in DEERS you need to get on the internet and enroll your child in Tricare for health benefits. This is where you will DEFINITELY need the childs fathers information. once you complete the application, print it and fax it in. you will receive insurance cards for you child within a couple weeks, but benefits will be instant once the enrollment package is received and processed. once you are in DEERS and Tricare, you can begin using benefits immediately, so if your little bugger gets sick or needs any help, you just go to the doctor and get him/her taken care of. there should NEVER be a fee involved with services. sometimes you MIGHT have to pay a partial fee for prescriptions and other take home items, but the actual service will not cost you a single penny.
3 :
The first step is making sure he has a copy of your child's birth certificate, assumimig it has his name on it. Without that, or some other proof he is the father, he will get nothing. If he is paying you child support then he is screwing himself by not claiming your child because that would make him eligible to get extra money in the form of BAH-DIFF. If he isn't getting any benefits at all then that probably means he didn't even mention he has a child. If he did then a possible reason he did it was because saying he had a child would have stopped his enlistment. Do you have full custody or joint custody with him? If you don't have full custody then he probably neglected to tell the military he had a child due to the fact that he would have been ineligible for enlistment based on him having joint custody with you. That would explain his hesitation, considering that he could be charged with fraudulent enlistment for concealing a dependent.
4 :
If they are his dependents (as stated by the court) either he can personally take them to PSD and ID and enroll in DEERS and get ID cards, or he can go to PSD have them added to his Page 2 entered into DEERS and fill out a form at ID mail it to you and you take them to ID so they can get their dependent ID. But really do you need to worry about health care, Obama-care will be here soon!
5 :
Get to DEERS. Enrollment in DEERS automatically enrolls you in health care. IF your child has a problem (IE: becomes sick and hospitalized), then the coverage will pick up once he's enrolled since he's already eligible. Just because he's not enrolled... doesn't mean he's not getting the benefits. If he does get sick, then your child's father can enroll him in DEERS, and they will pick up anything from the original eligible point. (Even before enrollment.) Oh and you don't get an insurance card. Your insurance card is your military ID, or in this case, your child's. The policy number is your child's father's SSN.
6 :
you must have a court order for both child support and requiring the father to enroll the child into DEERS and get Tricare(medical Inurance). with one in hand you can contact the command and ask that it be enforced.
7 :
I would look at a website like http://healthinsuranceconnection.info/ They show the rates of all the health insurance companies and provide which price would be the cheapest for your situation.

You want to give your 1 year old olive oil? I don't think that is a good idea.
2 :
Extra virgin olive oil is a better fat to use in food as opposed to butter however there is no need to "administer" it to your little one other than using it in everyday cooking that your one year old eats (I'm assuming he eats what you eat). I dunno if you heard something on the news about the benefits of olive oil but you shouldn't embrace every health trend that comes along. In the nicest possible way, you really shouldn't mess around with your kid's diet in this way, your child is not a test dummy for some olive oil health trend.
3 :
Hi!I`m Italian and we use put extra olive oil from the first food,at lunch i give to my baby(7 month) homemade broth with cereal,Parmesan, meat and a little spoon of oil. The extra olive oil is good for the fat the baby need, but be sure to use only extra virgin olive oil,i use the Botticelli.

What are the effects on health for children to be in a car that stinks like cigarettes. No smoking, just smell

What are the effects on health for children to be in a car that stinks like cigarettes. No smoking, just smell
I smoke in my car, but never when my children are in it. However there is concern that the smell alone can be bad for a child's health, specialy an asthmatic child.

Well, there is no smoke left in the car, just a smell, so I doubt it can cause any problem. People smoke out and about in public every day, and other people will be walking through places where people have smoked. So long as they are not directly inhaling second-hand smoke, they shouldn't be at any risk.
2 :
The smell shouldn't hurt them unless it makes them sick at their stomach. That said, if the car smells like smoke from a smoker, that tells me that the car is not clean. An unclean car can have dust, mold, and mildew in it. They can cause respiratory infections and asthma attacks.
