What problem was most difficult to overcome in your marriage and why?(health issue, money, a difficult child..?

Money, children. We overcame them with love, communication and compromise.
2 :
I don't really think that it is the problem but how you deal with it and with each other during the problem. We have not found anything that we cannot tackle together.
3 :
I think the most difficult thing to over come is communication. Talking about things is the key to everything in a marriage. Trust, intimacy, and building a life long friendship. You need to have strong communication or your marriage wont' work.
4 :
Trust, and getting over ourselves. You have to be able to face your own faults to have a successful marriage and humbling ourselves to this has been the hardest.
5 :
I heard money is the top reason for divorce, but I think people give up on marriage too easily.
6 :
Inexperience. We were both very young and the lack of experience led to many issues. We loved each other dearly when we got married, but the fact that we were not ready to deal with life's issues, took a toll on our relationship and eventually divorced. I see this happen a lot with young couples who get married. They go to the alter thinking to be Barbie and Ken and ready to play house, but when the real issues emerge, they do not know how to handle it and that is when arguments and problems begin.

A hyper ADHD dog he had when we met, that wasn't getting enough exercise or attention. He finally agreed that he didn't have time to take care of the dog, and we found a wonderful new home for the dog with a retired couple who could give him all the attention in the world. The only thing that ever made me contemplate leaving the relationship was this dog; there was nothing else even close to this magnitude of a problem. For a while, life was getting simply unbearable at home, with the dog following me everywhere, barking, jumping, running around - all the while my husband (well, we weren't married at the time) had no time or interest to exercise the dog, take him to training, etc - whatever needed to be done to keep a hyperactive dog occupied. Thankfully, he had to finally face the fact that it was a special-needs dog, and he simply couldn't invest enough time into caring for it. The dog is much happier in his new home - and so are we. Next dog we get, we'll have to pay special attention to personality.

When you have a baby, the child is covered under the mother's health insurance for 30 days following birth

When you have a baby, the child is covered under the mother's health insurance for 30 days following birth...?
Is the child covered under the father's health insurance for 30 days as well? My husband and I have 2 different health insurance providers and I have a 35% coinsurance with my (I am the mother) insurance. I am now getting thousands of dollars of medical bills for the delivery of my child. I know I am responsible for my hospital stay, but I have a $4000 bill for my daughter's. Can I submit that to my husband's insurance?

It will probably depend on what companies you each have. I would definitely give it a shot. I don't believe that a father's child is automatically covered like a mother's child is, so you might want to look to get the baby on the non-35% co-insurance policy quickly.
2 :
You have to READ your POLICIES or contact your insurance carrier. You should have had this sorted out WELL before you gave birth. I have never heard of a policy where the child is automatically covered on the father's insurance.
3 :
it's 30 days total max, then you have to add child to one of your plans and pay the higher cost associated with employee+1 or family plan - child can only be covered under ONE insurance plan
4 :
Not exactly true, for either of those. You have 30 days from the date the baby is born, to ADD that child, to mom's coverage, or dad's coverage. IF you add the baby, the baby is covered retroactive, from the date of birth. SOME state medicaid programs - welfare health insurance - WILL automatically cover the baby under mother's welfare health insurance, for the first 30 days, even if baby never gets added. IF the baby gets added to both mom's private insurance, and dad's private insurance, the "birthday rule" applies, as to whose coverage is primary - whoever has the first birthday, during the year, is primary. BUT, if dad does add baby, and you submit the bill, his coverages apply to the TOTAL AMOUNT, not just the part you have to pay. So, if dad also has a 35% coinsurance, then his insurance pays NOTHING, because yours already picked up 65% of the bill. If his has a 30% coinsurance, then his pays the difference - 5% of the TOTAL, not 65% of the BALANCE.

Child Support & Health Care...who pays

Child Support & Health Care...who pays? ?
My child support case is located in Georgia. I have been told by my Child's mother (CP) that she will be asking the judge to require me (NCP) to pay for son's health insurance next week in our hearing. After reading through the CS Guidelines for my state it us clear that I will more than likely be responsible for his insurance. The guidelines say that the party responsible for paying the insurance will be given an "insurance credit" toward the monthly child support order. Does anyone know how much the insurance credit will be?

Ask the court for the dollar amount.
2 :
The credit will be based on the cost to cover them. If your employer offers insurance, be sure you get a copy from HR showing what will be coming out of your paycheck for the insurance so you can give it to the judge. Good luck! been down that road tooooo many times. Hate court!
3 :
I suggest you deal with this legally.

This falls under the primary insured person. If your husband is the primary insured, the bills go to him first and you second as being the secondary insured or vice versa.
2 :
It depends on the insurance. You'll need to either look it up in your insurance handbook or call your insurance company. All the best.

if your child has mental health problems and you take him to clinic, is it protocol that therapist sees him...?
you know your child has serious psychological problems, and you take him to a mental health clinic, is it protocol that they have him see a therapist first?...instead of a psychiatrist? how can we trust that the therapist will refer him to a psychiatrist? what i do know is, that only psychiatrists are medical doctors, (not therapists, counselors, or psychologists)....therefore, i would think they are the only ones qualified to diagnose....am i right?

isn't a psychiatrist just someone who conducts psychotherapy, thus making the psychiatrist a therapist?
2 :
Most mental health clinics employ licensed therapists who are trained in diagnosing and assessment of mental health status in both children and adults. Today, most psychiatrists, because of the way insurances pay, do not have time to conduct therapy. Mostly they deal specifically with prescribing medications and the choice of medications is partially based on an initial assessment by licensed therapist. Some insurance companies may require a person to be seen by a professional first who is not a medical doctor because it's a less expensive service. Seeing a therapist or counselor first allows the new client to explain their current situation much better, to vent, and voice concerns. Psychiatrists, because of insurances (time is money), simply don't have the time to spend doing this. In mental health clinics where I have worked all of them required a new client to be seen by a licensed therapist first. There are many laws in place to insure a person gets the services that they truly need, ethical laws. In addition, most first-time clients are much less intimidated by a non-medical-doctor and more able to "talk" freely. In my experience, it's a rare thing for a client NOT to be referred on to a psychiatrist. Kristi

No it will not effect your child's health. My husband and I are both A-.
2 :
won't affect it at all.
3 :
Nope..My and my hubby are both A- and I will never have to have the rhogam shot! All of our kids will be A-
4 :
The only way that having the same blood group might effect your baby is if you happened to have the same blood group and come from the same lines. Except the blood type still wouldn't make a difference. Blood type has nothing to do with an indication of consanguineous interbreeding. But, if you were Rh negative and your husband Rh positive that would be an issue for your future babies as you would be making antibodies against the Rh factor. But you're not. Chill, you're golden.
5 :
My husband and I are both A+ and we had a perfectly healthy baby girl.

Denying children health care because of religious beliefs

Denying children health care because of religious beliefs?
I am doing an argument essay on the topic of, parents who deny their children medical care based on religious beliefs. Does anyone have the names of any good books, or magizne/news articles where I could find information on this? I would also like to speak to a parent who has or would not get their child medical care because of their religious beliefs. Thank you!

Keep in mind that those aren't religions that are involved, but cults. Religions aren't the same as cults. Religions don't deny medical care, it's the cults that do so. Jehovah's Witnesses are a cult group, not a religion. http://www.christiananswers.net/evangelism/beliefs/cults.html As I stated, there is no religion that will put stipulations on medical care. JW is not a religion, it's one of the very well-known cults of America.
2 :
I disagree with your previous answerer. Yes, mostly "cults" deny medical benefits for their own reasons, but Jehovah's Witnesses will not allow certain medical procedures even at the risk of death to themselves or their children. I had an issue with that when I had a play date with a neighbor's child. She insisted that if he was severely injured while I had them at the park that I would not allow certain procedures. I told her if he was in my care, I would allow anything that would save his life. We haven't had a play date since.
