If the person is in immediate danger, you should call 911 and make a report. For abuse that is not imminent or life-threatening the following web links should help: for Child Abuse, every state has mandated reporting laws: http://www.capcsac.org/training/laws the procedures for reporting child abuse in California are here: http://www.capcsac.org/training/reporting for elder abuse, the attorney general's office in California has produced this pamplet: http://ag.ca.gov/bmfea/pdfs/citizens_guide.pdf

So? If those working class and middle class parents want their BRATS to have health insurance they can another job or make those brats get paper routes or something! Our President Bush needs every penny we can scrape up for the war and nation building in Iraq.
2 :
his definition: giving americans a miniscule tax 'break' so that they can put it towards 6 days of health insurance through the private sector for their children. If they cant afford it, it's because they dont work hard enough (sarcasm).
3 :
budget for your health insurance. you might have to cut back on some stuff to afford it. id say its worth it. health care is pretty important.
4 :
really the no child left behind theroy dosent make sense to me... how it was explained to me was if someone missed more than 10 days straight the school was supposed to kick you out....but isnt that leaving the child behind?? bush really doesnt care about anyone other than himself
5 :
In my opinion, Bush vetoed the bill because it was not a child health bill. Bush said the bill was unacceptable because — like the first one — it allows adults into the program, would cover people in families with incomes above the U.S. median and raises taxes. Bush's statement further said. "Ultimately, our nation's goal should be to move children who have no health insurance to private coverage, not to move children who already have private health insurance to government coverage."
6 :
no child left behind is an education program not a healthcare program. They need to present a bill that doesnt include people who can afford to pay for healthcare without goverment help. you do realize there are 6 million children without healthcare who qualify for the current child healthcare program that is in place, but do not have the coverage becuase the parents have failed to enroll them in the program. It is hard to have healthcare programs that works if the parents are too lazy or stupid to enroll their kids in it.
7 :
No child left behind was an education policy. It was not an health care program. If the you pay for the health care of the children of parents who can afford the insurance, it makes less money available for those who can not afford it.
8 :
I get it. I think he means "no rich child left behind"

Do you believe there are any issues regarding health of a child in daycare

Do you believe there are any issues regarding health of a child in daycare?
would you send your child to daycare? thanks all answers

I would say there isn't anything worse then a common cold. Which if they don't get a daycare they'll get at school. I would if I had to work and the provider was responsible for keeping sick kids home.
2 :
Kids will pick up things no matter if they go to care or not. My daughter goes to care and very rarely brings home illness or problems, however her friend has never been to care and is constantly getting things like head lice and colds.
3 :
there will always be issues with health in daycare : your child will get sick (fact of life) but will also be able to build immunity from getting these illnesses that abound at day cares...it is also critically important for you to follow your child's immunisation schedules - this will help fight off the illnesses that kiddies get .. it is also a sad reality that some parents chose NOT to immunise their kiddies, thereby putting them at higher risks of infection and allowing preventable illnesses at the daycare where your child will have contact with it... All this being said, kids will get sick from daycare sooner or later : there's just no way around it...all you can possibly manage is the virulence of the infection by vitamins, proper diet, etc
4 :
I personally hate the day care systems. I wouldn't worry about health issues at daycare. I'm more worried about disciplinary practices at day cares. Some of those people DO NOT know how to handle children. I've seen my nephews going to day care and it is by far one of the worst decisions made for them. They know don't listen to their parents, and have no regard or respect for personal property, which was not a problem for us before they started going to daycare.

There are "issues regarding health of a child" in any group setting, not just daycare - school, nursery school, gymnastics, swimming lessons, etc. My daughter was very ill the first few months after starting daycare. Being diagnosed as asthmatic didn't help things, and neither has chronic ear infections. But since we have those two things resolved (medication for asthma and tubes in ears) she's been much much better. And daycare did not cause her asthma or her ear infections - they just exacerbated both problems. Children in group care settings (daycare or school) get an average of one cold every three weeks. Research has shown that children who are exposed to viruses such as those rampant in daycare centres early in life, are 30% less likely to get serious illnesses such as leukemia. Once my daughter hits school, she will be much less likely to get sick than her peers who did not attend childcare. This is a fact, because her immune system will be much stronger due to exposure. So you can protect your child early in life from being ill, but you are just prolonging the inevitable - once they start school they will be sick constantly for the first few months or year until their immune system strengthens.

Medicaid is based on your income and expenses. I don't believe that whether or not your employer offers insurance is a factor. The only way to know for certain is to apply.
2 :
No. You will not be denied for that reason. I was in the same situation 12 years ago and because of my income I qualified. You do need a lot of paperwork and time to apply. Come prepared!
3 :
To Be honest,It will take a little time to find the answer for the question of yours.have a look at the resource here http://www.HealthInsuranceIdeas.info for your reference .

Ma'am you need to find a Dr. who will help you. There is someone out there who is willing to help. This is some serious stuff, and something like this can not be handled lightly. We are not professionals on this site. Find a Dr. ASAP!
2 :
I'm alittle confused, was she choked by her father (and she was deprived oxygen). My sons dr used that word when he was young (they were worried about his breathing) due to a flap in his throat that would closed. In response to your question, she needs further help. If her therpist isn't willing to help try and find another one, one that specialises in children. There could be alot of reasons why shes acting out, but as we aren't drs here we can't give you medical help. good luck

I'm not capable to work anymore due to my health,to what extent i could give support to my illegitimate child

I'm not capable to work anymore due to my health,to what extent i could give support to my illegitimate child?
I am reffering to financial support. Legally, how much do I have to give to the child? Will it be based on my income? I am already married and we have child already. The mother of my illegitimate child wants a bigger amount that I can't give due to my condition.

Be there for him, take care of him, love is free

1. Your presence. Just being there to play with your child and teach your child are vital parts of supporting your child. 2. What are you using to support yourself while you're not working? Explore ways of cutting costs to help provide financial support if your child needs it. If you're receiving outside support from an agency, it's possible that your support could be increased if you can claim the child as a dependent. 3. You specifically state that this child is illegitimate--does that mean that you have a partner that would be displeased if you spent time with your child? Try to make arrangements so that you can be part of your child's life. Use time while your partner is at work or otherwise occupied. I'm not saying lie about you're doing, but make it unobtrusive.

I'm surprised you weren't dropped at 22. My insurance dropped my son, who was still in college, at 22.
2 :
It depends upon the insurance company and the plan you have. Some companies will drop you if you are no longer a dependent while others don't care. Each company also has different age limits, some companies will allow you to stay up to age 25 as long as you are in college while other companies will now allow up to age 30 even if you're not in college as long as you're not married and living at home (it doesn't matter with this company if you are a tax dependent). So the only way you will know is to call the insurance company.
3 :
You will have to read your dads policy to see how dependents are covered. Some insurance cover a child up to 25 as long as they are a full time student others stipulate that in addition to being a full time student you must also be a dependent and claimed on your parents taxes. As far as when the insurance company will check, that is usually when they receive a claim. the claim is put on hold and they write a letter to the insured asking for documentation showing that you meet the criteria to be covered. So, even if the insurance company hasn't canceled you, you very well could have your claim denied. The policy will say that it is up to the insured to notify the company when their dependent status changes.

Child only health insurance

Child only health insurance?
I have done some research and haven't been able to find any decent child only insurance. My daughter is four months old, and we are looking to insure her in the state of Connecticut. What insurance companies supply insurance for just her? Thanks!

Lots of states have childrens insurance programs or medicaid for low income. Check into those alternatives. I am sure you can contact your local Social Services with questions.
