when you commit a mistake affecting your child's health, should you get punished

when you commit a mistake affecting your child's health, should you get punished?
try to think about the many incidents that have occurred to child's left behind inside the cars, and the many deaths that has caused.

Yes. ♥ ♣ ♥
2 :
yeh, if you leave a kid in a car you should get the death penalty
3 :
i think so....it depends on a lot of other things
4 :
It's called child endangerment or neglect, at the very least. Yes, they should be punished.
5 :
If it is that severe, I believe a punishment should occur. But if there is one minor mistake, I believe custody should still remain until the parents have proven themselves to be responsible. If multiple mistakes are made, a question of custody should be made.
6 :
leaving a child in a car is not a mistake, it's a bad choice. A mistake is something you do by accident and didn't mean to do it. Leaving a child alone in a car is an example of a bad choice as a parent and considered risking injury to a minor which is a crime, not a mistake.
7 :
I dont think that leaving your kid in the car, abandoned, in the hot sun deals with its health. If you do this, you should be punished, but a simple mistake like deciding not to get braces, is different.
8 :
Seeing your child suffer is punishment, but for some neglectful parents it isn't enough. The law needs to install a sense of fear into the parents through punishment so they will THINK first. If you child dies because of a parents neglect, the law has to step in.
9 :
It would all depend on that particular incident. No normal parent is going to leave their child in a hot car for any length of time on purpose. Therefore, I think they should have to go through some sort of parenting class to remind them of what happened. That will insure that it does not happen again. I think they are punished enough by what they did already. (considering that it was really a mistake)
10 :
I guess wether mistake or not, depending on severity, yes people should be punished for things they've done, if it so requires it. Like... someone who smokes through pregnancy has a risk of then harming thier childs health... should this then be punished?? I don't think so... that would just be silly... If a parent made a mistake and did something that then ended a child's life, then of course someone should be punished!! But then... how would the go about doing it?? After all... killing someone with a car isn't seen as murder... cars arrn't seen as weapons and therfor at the most it's manslaughter, even if the death of the victim was intentional. Law is a funny thing, and makes just as much sence as anything else in this world.... which seems to be very little in terms of logical thinking O_O
11 :
I think there is a difference between a mistake and child endangerment/ neglect. Probably, that is the best argument why we need Universal Healthcare in the US, parents may wait until it is too late before they seek healthcare because they never see the doctor and don't have a clue when it is serious. They don't ever talk to doctors-how would they know? Then you bring up parents who leave their children in cars, yes these parents should be punished in some form.
12 :
It really depends on the situation. You have to factor in the circumstances, the age of the child, the laws in the state, etc. I think in most cases the answer to that question would be yes, but again, it depends on the situation. If a person leaves their child in a car to go on a 2-hour shopping spree or go drink in a bar for instance, then yes, there needs to be accountability, even if the child was not injured. If you leave your child in the car at a gas station, went inside for a few minutes, a car slams into your parked car, and your child is subsequently injured, then should the parent be held accountable. Not necessarily. In Florida at least, you can leave your child under the age of 8 in a car as long as the car is not running for a time period of up to 15 minutes. After minutes, though, it is against the law. This question really needs to be determined on a case by case basis. Unfortunately, there are accidents and mistakes that cause injury and death to children at the fault of the parents. It doesn't necessarily make them bad or ignorant parents and that it simply was a mistake with a tragic outcome. There are other situations where the parent is grossly negligent with the same outcome. There are too many variables to give this question a simple yes or no answer.
13 :
Most probably you should as it is first of all about your kid's benefit or disadvantage. Here's where you can find more about parenthood and the most frequent health mistakes: http://www.myhealth-forum.com/

Want to get pregnant and have a health child

Want to get pregnant and have a health child?
Please remember to take folic acid BEFORE you get pregnant to protect your child against nueral tube defects like anencephaly and spina bifida. These defects occur during day 22-28 of pregnancy long before you know you are pregnant! My nephew died of anencephaly. This has been a public service announcement more than a question but if you have questions I can help with regarding foic acid please ask. Also visit my myspace site for Gabriel's Legacy http://myspace.com/gabrielslegacy it will help answer SOME of your questions.

Thank you for posting this announcement. When I was trying to conceive, my doctor couldn't stress enough the importance of taking folic acid before you even conceived to lessen your baby's chances of having birth defects like you mentioned. Thank you again for bringing awareness to something some people wouldn't have even known about.
2 :
Your myspace is full of excellent information and a beautiful tribute to your nephew. I lost my daughter to anencephaly in 1999 and there is not a day that goes by that I don't think of her. I am so grateful for the nine months that I carried her and for the 1/2 hour that I was able to hold her in my arms before she joined her brother in heaven. My doctor never stressed to me the importance of folic acid before and during the conception stages. You are doing a wonderful public service for all those who are trying to conceive! God Bless you!

how can a 16 years get married since she is pregnent and she being held through the depart of child health

how can a 16 years get married since she is pregnent and she being held through the depart of child health?
my sister who pregnant and due in oct would like to marry her baby father because after she gives birth she can get her baby taken a way from her. i am her oldest sister 33 years old and would like to take her in but my parents can not and will not give in there rights?

Why would her baby be taken away from her? Even though she's underage she will be considered an emancipated minor when it comes to matters concerning her child. No one can take her child away from her (including your parents) unless she has been mistreating or neglecting the child in which case CPS would get involved. Since she's only 16 she can't get married without your parents' permission.
2 :
the only way she can get married is if she has a job for at least 6 months(or your states requirements) she has to get emancipated to either you or her babys daddy. or your parents have to give up their rights. you should take in her baby untill she is able to do it. that way she will be able to watch the baby grow up till she is out of your parents house.
3 :
even though she is 16 she still has the right to keep her child. i think a good situation to do is if she will have her child taken away from her, have her give you maybe temporary custody of the child until she is 18 or can be emancipated ( of course if you wouldn't mind caring for her child until then). she is allowed to choose who her child will go to other than have her child automatically go into foster care for adoption. i don't think she can get married if she is being held by the department of child health which i am assuming is why you said your parents cannot give up their rights. but also, if you offer to take her in ( if she is in foster care) you could very well get her because of you being family, regardless of your parents signing their rights over or not.
4 :
Unless she's an unfit mother (on drugs) they won't take her baby away.
5 :
the only reason they would take the baby away is if she endangered it. i.e. not taking care of it properly to get married under the age of 18 she needs parental consent all they need to do is go with her and her boyfriend to get the marriage certificate and sign a paper without it she will have to wait.
6 :
() () ( '_' ) c( Y )
7 :
you would need parental consent
8 :
I had my son when i was 16 and i got married to his father 2 months after i turned 17 but i was only able to marry him with my moms permission. So she has to have your parents sign a paper saying she is allowed to marry him otherwise she has to wait till shes 18.

Is a father and a child health insurance premiums cheaper than helath ins premiums for 2 adults and 1 child

Is a father and a child health insurance premiums cheaper than helath ins premiums for 2 adults and 1 child?

Usually, but not always. It would depend on the particular company and policy. The only way to find out is to ask your insurer or your employer directly.
2 :
Usually - because you can have the option of "insured plus child". But if there are more than two people, the option is usually "family". Of course, it wildly depends on coverages - you certainly can find some low coverage family plans that cost less than high quality insured plus child plans.
3 :
Use Online Premium Calculator and know the exact amount of premium to be paid in each case. I used this tool, while I purchased Apollo Munich’ plan for myself. You can visit their website

out of those the only one i took was french. the course is seven different topics, family and friends, holidays, work experience, local area, hobbies, the environment and school. for the oral you need to be able to talk at length about these topics (you will have prepared them throughout the two years) and you are expected to do a role play and narrative when you get into the exam. there is also a listening, reading, and writing exam. the writing exam is two questions, you pick an a or a b for each, and write about 100 words for the first question and 200 for the second. i thoroughly enjoyesd learning french, and am very glad i did, although i won't say it was really easy to learn. good luck! :)

What will happen if you don't pay the state of California for your child's health insurance

What will happen if you don't pay the state of California for your child's health insurance?
I have Medi-Cal for my infant son because i cannot afford to put him on my health insurance and his father hasn't helped one penny in that department either. Now that my son has been approved for state health ins., a case has been opened to go after his father for compensation...which is what he gets for not taking care of his responsibilites. How much will they go after him for and what will happen if he doesn't pay?

they will call you for the money continously
2 :
What kind of laws does the state of California have? You mean to tell me you have a job that offers health insurance, but because you don't want to pay for it (can't afford it...ha, who can?) you get state health insurance? Maybe I need to move to California and get over on the system. After all you have one kid I've got three.
3 :
They'll go after him for 25% of what he makes, or reasonable minimums, which in CA is $250 a month, MINIMUM. If he doesn't pay, they'll attach his paychecks, attach his wages, and if the amount owed goes over $5,000, they'll suspend the renewal of any licenses he gets through the state, including drivers licenses. If he STILL doesn't pay, then they'll assign him weekend jail time, where he has to pick up trash on the side of the road at $8 an hour, and that whole entire amount, goes to pay the child support. California is VERY aggressive about deadbeat dads.
4 :
It the same insurance agencies is present in California then you have to not take any approval . I have found the same in http://www.dulawat.com , pls. have a look.
5 :
Get as much resource as you can maybe is one option, however it could be quite time consuming, here http://www.healthinsurance-onlinetips.info/health-insurance-for-free.htm is one resource i have had good experience.
6 :
Why you don't apply for Healthy Families? Healthy Families is low cost insurance for children and teens in CA. It provides health, dental and vision coverage to children who do not have insurance and do not qualify for free Medi-Cal in California.

What is vigrous play? Playing hard?
2 :
Child develop and learn best through using all their senses. Intermixing quiet time, fine motor skills, large motors skills, etc. through out the day. The benefits to vigrous play ~ large motor skills. Outdoors is wonderful but if weather is incliment then indoor large motor skills or vigrous playis still a must. It builds coordination and balance, spacial relations (how the child fits physically into the space around them), it builds and tones muscles, increases respiratory function and endurance, raises the heart rate.
3 :
It builds gross motor skills and reduces the risk of obesity. Here is some other information and some ideas that may help: http://www.successful-homeschooling.com/preschool-physical-education.html
