google state health care programs...you'll find that individual states are offering better CHP than the national government ever could
2 :
do your own homework ya mooch
3 :
Schip is just an excuse for socialized health care.
4 :
because it raises taxes on the poor and middle class to the tune of over $35 billion over just 5 years - smokers. it will also take a lot of people from private coverage to government dependency, which costs taxpayers even more long-term. you have to understand that the dems' primary goal is to get as many folks dependent on gov't as possible. that's how they get votes and votes = power.
5 :
Can you give me 3 sources where you heard this from?
6 :
I think the reason he vetoed the bill was because whoever wrote it stuck in some other items that did not pertain to child health insurance. In this case, they should have re-written the bill and tried again. As we have seen with the stimulus fiasco, that is a hard pill to swallow for Congress. They seem to need wasteful spending and pet projects in every bill.
7 :
1. The way they wanted to fund the increases. 2. They wanted to expand the program to people making $80,000 a year and to adults up to 25 years old. Everyone needs to remember, the Democrats never wanted SCHIP anyway. Every Democrat in the House, voted against starting the program back in 1997.

2 kids / health insurance / child support

2 kids / health insurance / child support?
ok 2 kids dad is paying child support including health insurance all the money is included in one check order by the judge he is ok with that, mom had the kids insurance under her policy because under dads was to much and he prove this in court she is not working now what happens now does he pay for private health insurance or does she pay with the money she get from child support and if he pays does he has to modified child support ?

1 :
The person who has the money for the insurance is responsible for providing the insurance. Right now that is the mother. She either needs to go back to court to change the order or pay for insurance out of the portion of the check that is for insurance.
2 :
well where shall we start is there anybody in the usa that can actually put a sentence together that is grammatically correct and does not start with ok or right
3 :
If the mother was handling the health insurance and lost her job, it is up to the mother to get private health insurance since health insurance is being deducted out of the father's child support. However, if this is unable to happen, then this needs to go back to court for modification, and if the father ends up carrying the children under his company policy (which may be expensive but would probably offer better coverage) then he will be paying less child support to the mother.
4 :
Check answer to your other question on this.

How do you know if i child has it that has lot of health issues and can not speak

Yes and no. What are you asking?
2 :
Has what? Autism, aspergers, ADD? You need to clarify your question so that it makes sense in English.
3 :
The wording on this is sketchy at best. If you are asking about a potential for problems with a child who cannot speak, is this child an INFANT because all infants generally under age 1 don't speak much. Crying is a major clue the child has problems. If you are asking about a child who SHOULD speak and doesn't then don't ask anyone here, ASK A DOCTOR. This child could have hearing problems, or be autistic, which could cause no speech. Take your child to a physician for a correct and accurate diagnosis. Doctors can order testing. Don't waste time on here, we are just guessing. Guessing could be dangerous.

My husband is paying child support and health insurance is he responsible for co-pays too?

My husband is paying child support and health insurance is he responsible for co-pays too? ?
On his divorce decree it states that he is responsible for any type of medical expense for his daughter does that include co-pays too even if he is paying health insurance

I think that should come out of the "child support" payment.
2 :
You know, my ex owes us over 35 THOUSAND DOLLARS in child support and is a dead beat! BE GLAD YOU GET ANYTHING!
3 :
Only if it reads the way you said it. Any type of medical expense would make him responsible for co-pays. Otherwise he is only half responsible.
4 :
In my decree he pays for Insurance then I pay co-pays and the first 600 a year of doctor bills...The mother should have to pay her part to...However if he agreed to pay any type of medical expense then he could be responsible...That is why you read every word before signing...
5 :
Well the co-pay is a medical expense.
6 :
My decree states that my son's father is to provide him with insurance. If he cannot, we split it 50/50. Co-pays are also supposed to be split 50/50. You might want to contact the lawyer so that they can interpret it better - I know that decrees can be confusing. Good Luck.

what are some points that prove Child labor was detrimental to children's health both physically mentally

what are some points that prove Child labor was detrimental to children's health both physically mentally?

1 :
None, that was pretty much inhumane.
2 :
How about "what does detrimental mean?" No, really what does it mean?
3 :
kids that worked in coal mines instead of going to school died by the time they were 11 of Black Lung, but never learned to read. maybe you saw the Super Bowl yesterday? The colored diamonds on the Steelers logos are tributes and memorials to those kids who mined the coal that made the Pittsburgh steel industry so strong in the first place
4 :
They had to become an adult sooner. It took away their time to play around and learn, forced them to step up before they really had a chance at childhood.
5 :
They worked in hot, dirty, unsafe environments. Children were often sent in to clean or work on machines because they could get in to reach things that adults could not. They worked until they were exhausted and this lead to poor health along with the chemicals they were working with and breathing.
6 :
The children never learned to read....geez...it wasn't so bad until you said they never got to learn to read...
7 :
lack of obeying laws produces violations of child labor laws causes poor working conditions taxing on physical abilities and mentally draining due to poor working conditions and unhealthy demands of preformance expectations

Does ups have health insurance coverage for a 21 year old child of a ups worker

Does ups have health insurance coverage for a 21 year old child of a ups worker?

ask your benefit rep.
2 :
It can depend on the hours worked (full-time/part-time). The benefits department can help you out, but if they do you have to wait until the enrollment period also. Also, if you are 21, you have to be a student to get benefits. Each company has different rules, so it is best to ask.
3 :
a 21 year old, is NOT a child - they are an adult. As to can they be covered, it's going to depend on what state you are in, if they are a full time student, and if they are your dependent on your taxes or not.
4 :
Maybe....If they are a full time student and are still considered as your dependent

what health plan should i get for my 18 month child

I grew up with Kaiser, had babies and surgeries with Kaiser, and now I am still with Kaiser. I really like the positive health slant. On an individual membership plan there are many choices within the Kaiser group of plans. For a young child needing checkups and shots and tests, etc., you might want to look at a plan that has an affordable co-pay per visit and covers all the routine stuff and emergencies. I didn't see a deductible plan that jumped out at me while sifting through options for my daughter, who just turned 25 and had to go out on her own plan. Outrageous terms and conditions. Get the best plan you can afford for what you need. Best wishes babe
2 :
Your child will be going to the Doctor frequently so I would definitely get a plan with reasonable co-pays. If your daughter is healthy then you might be able to go for a higher co-pay for hospitalizations. I don't know what your financial situation is but most people can pay off a $3000.00 co-pay within a year of so. Remember that if you do have a high deductible you can make payment arrangements to the hospital for anything that is not elective. Personally, I like having the best coverage possible because as soon as I pick a high deductible plan my daughter or I will end up needing a surgery or something. It is worth it to me to pay higher premiums for the peace of mind.

eye problems and possibly back problems depending on his/her posture. answer mine? http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Aia8BRuoUvPGLD1fmm4I5Czsy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20080331000913AAChHoe
2 :
Poor vision
3 :
Uhh i dunno but im 15 and thats what i do :P Only side effects is lack of sleep by staying online too late and thats about it. It can affect eyesight but my eyes are fine at the moment. Some people also get headaches.
4 :
Well, i been in front of 4 LCD monitors since i was around 13, and im healthy. If its CRT screens a slight risk of eyesight problems, but rare.
5 :
He could get eye problems and need glasses. The only other health problem I can see is that he is not getting enough fresh air/exercise and will be more susceptible to cold etc. It sounds like a normal teenage boy though.
6 :
Bad eyesight...Blindness!?!? If the child types a lot...carpel tunnel .... If child is not sitting properly...back troubles... If the child just sits there with no other exercise...OBESITY sitting all day could cause hemorrhoids especially if child is overweight overall...sounds pretty unhealthy...
7 :
Eye probelms....i'm almost that same age my mom limits my time on week days, but on weekends she lets me stay on as long as i want.....you should use this on him/her
8 :
There will be eye problems, probably, but I think the bigger issues will be his general lack of health due to a sedentary life, and his lack of social development. There are all sorts of articles about adults losing touch with reality because they live a virtual life. I think it would be tenfold for an adolescent.
9 :
Quite a lot actually! You'd be best to consult a doctor for a more definative list, but some that I can think of are... Poor posture and poor eyesight. Poor general health - being sedentary for most hours of the day leads to poor fitness as there's no exercise being undertaken. This also leads to weight gain and potential obesity. This is also is aggravated by the fact that many people tend to snack whilst sitting at the computer as opposed to taking time out to prepare and eat a real, healthy meal. Poor sleep patterns can develop as well as fatigue depending on how much sleep he is getting overall. If he's on there most hours of the day and night, then it sounds like he's most likely not going to be getting enough sleep which impacts the body greatly, especially at 14 when there is still a lot of development going on. And lastly, there are the SOCIAL issues. By spending most of his time on a computer, he's not going out and spending time with other teenagers and interacting with other people, thus learning the important social skills necessary for later life. At 14, he should really be limiting his time on the computer in favour of getting out and living life while he still can!
