Check into the SCHIP program. The program is for children, but you probably will also qualify. Contact your health department for the WIC program, too.
2 :
I don't know if Arizona has a state childrens health plan except under Medicaid. Why don't you have Medicaid?
3 :
See the Arizona State Health Insurance Assistance Program https://egov.azdes.gov/cmsinternet/intranet.aspx?menu=28&id=2466 Here you can get quotes for private insurance: http://moneysavecenter.com/health/?id=nvm0r4x2Oxo9 more at: http://www.bestinternetfind.solutionsarticles.com/healthquote.html?id=nvm0r4x2Oxo9
4 :
health-quotes.isgreat.org - here is my health insurance plan. As I remember they can provide such a service.

What are my long-term health risks for not having a child by the age of 30 or older

What are my long-term health risks for not having a child by the age of 30 or older?
I am a 29 year old who is ready to start a family. However, my husband of 5 years is not ready to take this step. I am concerned about future infertility and health issues if I wait too long.

dont be concerned about your health....think about what your kids will do with an old parent. old parents suck for kids!
2 :
I guess I'm one of those OLD parents. Believe me I am not even old NOW and I'm in my 50's. I had my sons at 29 and 33. You may find you have a diminishing fertility after 35- but then a woman 60 last week had twins. What benefit was it to be an older parent? We were both WELL established in out careers, (law and head nurse). We had homes, we had savings, we had I had time for them, and we were able to pay our own way.
3 :
I had my first child at the age of 35. There were no health risks. Nowadays, people like Madonna are having kids at the age of 40. But then again, she's got lots of help (nannies). The only negative thing is, I'm finding it really hard. My child has so much energy, and I get tired easily. I find it hard to keep up. I see other parents who had kids at a younger age, having an easier time. Also, I seem to be losing my patience a lot faster than when I was younger. This too, is not good for my child, or myself. You and your husband waited long enough. Have kids already! If he's not ready now, will he EVER be ready? Good luck.
4 :
I am over 30, but under 35, and am pregnant with my first. So far everything looks good. Why is your husband not ready yet? After five years, is he ever going to be ready? Sure, it's good to be cautious when it comes to finances, etc, but on the other hand, if you BOTH really want children, go for it, and usually everything will work out somehow.

Can you get health insurance for just your child, and not yourself

Can you get health insurance for just your child, and not yourself?

yea!

Yes. In Michigan Blue Cross Blue Shield has to insure anyone who applies, and you can get a policy just for your child. However, Blue Cross may not be your best option. If you child has no pre-existing conditions then you can do better buying a policy through Aetna or one of the other medical insurance carriers. If your daughter has a health condition then you may find that Blue Cross Blue Shield is your only option as most carriers will not cover someone for whom they can foresee actually having to make payments. I live in Michigan and have been through this process myself. Good luck to you.

Maybe You should try to google it first ,nonetheless, if you prefer some direct resource ,here http://www.InsuranceFreeTip.info/insurance-for-free.htm might be helpful.

Will the health department give your child immunizations without having the record with you

Will the health department give your child immunizations without having the record with you?
i usually go to my childs clinic for them but they dont carry vaccinations for the 1 yr mark so i have to go to the health department. can i just go to the clinic and pick up a copy?

It depends. If they are able to look in your records and get it, then its fine. If you've never been to that health department though, then they won't give any shots without knowing what your child has or hasn't had. They'll simply tell you to contact the doctor or health department that you used prior to them and have them fax it over. *Yes, go to the clinic and get a copy.
2 :
They should have record there if your have been going to the same place from the start.

How can I explain that not everyone is a good or nice person to my son who is a child with special health need

How can I explain that not everyone is a good or nice person to my son who is a child with special health need
How can I explain to my son that not everyone is a good person or a nice person tp my son who is a chid with special health needs. He smiles at everyone he is happy go lucky and people have not responed to him and he looks at them like why and I do not want someone out there hurting him and it hurts me when I see them not responding to him so how can I show him that people are not so nice. he is only 4 and is not talking yet and has a hearing loss..

That one is tough. I think he is too young to understand fully that other people are just not as happy or kind hearted as he is. That they have had a hard life full of trouble.... Wait it out a little.
2 :
God bless you for looking out for him. I think any parenting is hard but a special needs child can be a bit harder and I have an HUGE amounts of respect for you because I'm sure OTHER people are the biggest obstical. This is a very tough question...I would say I would just encourage him to keep being friendly. So what if others are mean? That's THEIR problem, he's not done a thing wrong. I'm accutally tearing up a bit just thinking about how terrible people can be. I had a friend w/ a little girl who had many physical problems and when people would stare the little girl would start talking to them because she assumed they were staring at her because they wanted to talk to her or knew her. My bottom line: Don't discourage your son from being who he is, somewhere along the lines of life he will learn on his own people are mean, and he may not care. Let him love life!!
3 :
Don't tell him people aren't nice.Tell him the truth.Tell him people don't understand and can't adapt to HIM.In other words tell him that some people are stupid and that he shouldn't discriminate against them for being slow. The only special health need is stupidity.
4 :
My son is autistic. It took a lot of time to teach him that one and he still doesn't get it fully. Sometimes, even though it breaks your heart, you have to let your child be rejected. Just keep explaining how special he is and not everyone's going to be friendly. I know it hurts you to see your child hurt or even confused be other people but you can't shield him forever. Just be patient. One day he'll understand that not everyone can be good and kind.
5 :
While at his age, you may not be able to explain an ugly heart of others to your little bubble of happy life, you can just tell him that some people have bad days. He may not understand nice and hateful, but maybe he will understand that some people are just not happy at times and that is why they act the way they do. Because they must be pretty miserable to not smile when they see such a beautiful little human. I know I do, special people make me smile inside and out. To know that even with special needs they can still hold their heads high and show so much love just brightens my day. Give him a great BIG hug for me and a smile!!!!!
6 :
ok Do This Tell Him Every Tree Have Bad Apple N Good Apple..So Just Like People Not All Of Them The Same Some Are Good n Nice And Some Are Bad ..
7 :
That's a hard question to answer... If he's only 4, I'd say try to keep him out of harms way and when you can no longer protect him you will have to talk to him about people out there... maybe for the mean time tell him when people have a bad day they forget to smile... God bless you and your son! And just so you know, if I saw your son, no matter who I was with I would have a contest with him for who can have a bigger smile... And I wouldnt complain if he won... Just be glad he's a happy kid! and hopefully he will be happy his entire life which later on will save you from the troubles of drugs, alcohol and suicide... Good Luck!
8 :
Does he notice that people aren't so friendly and nice? If he isn't noticing these things then don't point them out to him. He will notice them soon enough. When he does start to notice just tell them maybe that person is having a bad day, or tell him that some people are just unhappy and were not taught by their parents how to be nice. Personally I don't understand how people can be so rude as to not smile back. When a child, any child, in fact even when an adult smiles at me, I can't help but smile back. I don't know how people could resist a happy go lucky kid like your son! It just goes to show what happens to a society when manners are no longer considered an important part of our upbringing. Good Luck to you.

how much does it cost for health insurance on you & your child

how much does it cost for health insurance on you & your child?
How much does it cost for you & your child every 2 weeks in your pay check? I have Medcost insurance. I think my friend at work said it costs her $130 or something close to that!

for full family coverage I pay $135 a week
2 :
My fiance pays $40 a week for he and our 2 kids. Once I get insurance through my work it will be $23 a week for our 2 children and I. I have a better insurance plan through my job so his insurance will become secondary and mine will be primary.
3 :
450/mo for me and my daughter when i pay out of pocket....so expensive.... i always denied aid...until i had to quit work to stay home ....i swallowed my pride and got medi-cal....temporarily
4 :
My husband retired from the military so we have insurance there that is free then he has it at work and pays $4.26 a month for me, him and all five kids so we are very fortunate. My ex husband has it on our kids as well and he pays $98.45 a week for him and three kids.
5 :
I pay 2223.75 a year for just my 3 yr old son who never uses the doctor! It comes out of my paychecks @ $42.75/week. Although when my next baby gets here, insurance won't go up! YAY!!! That is for health, dental, and vision. Although the dental sucks, and the co-pays suck! Dental only covers $800.00/yr per person. Co-pays are 100-ER, 20-Doc,25-Specialist,10-25-50-RX
6 :
For me and my two boys, I pay $276 per month for United HealthCare PPO. If it were just me, it'd be free through my job. We just moved, and healthcare is SO much more expensive here (GA) compared with Michigan. In Michigan, I had the whole family covered (sons and husband) and it was only $160 a month for awesome insurance.

if you pay child support and health insurance for a child can your tax refund be taken if you owe back monies

if you pay child support and health insurance for a child can your tax refund be taken if you owe back monies?

United States - 6 Answers

Yes
2 :
Your state tax return can be taken. The federal, on the other hand, depends on the specifics of your situation. :)
3 :
Do you mean back child support? Or other monies owed to the govt ect? The short answer is yes...the long answer is that there are loopholes and requirements and it is best discussed with a CPA who can give you some options.
4 :
only if the child support prosecutor in you county sends the offset to the treasury department
5 :
If you owe back child support, yes it can be taken evan if you are currently paying.
6 :
Yes and if you are married they can take your spouses refund as well if you filed together. So the spouse needs to notify the irs that they are not the one who owes. There is a form for that. While you are paying child support payments regularly then you can also pay so much toward the arrears. You will need to notify the child support enforcement or courts so it gets documented correctly. Child Support & Visitation are separate issues but ALWAYS DOCUMENT EVERYTHING. ***I can not say this enough:*** DOCUMENT ~ DOCUMENT ~ DOCUMENT everything!!!!! Pay consistantly, on time each month. DO NOT GIVE CASH. Always pay by money order or check and keep copies of the receipts, money order stub, and cleared checks of EVERYTHING YOU HAVE PAID. ***If you pay directly to ex then get a file and keep organized records of every child support payment.*** ***Keep receipts of everything you buy your children because EVERYTHING you buy can be applied to your child support arrears***if there is any. Never say it was a gift ~especially if there are arrears. If there are arrears then the x can file to get income tax refund so don't file jointly with your new spouse unless the tax company you use documents it so the irs does not take your new spouses part of the refund. In some cases it is better to go through the child support enforcement office because it holds both sides accountable BUT if you ever get behind on a payment they will become the child support payee's enemy and no matter what your x is doing will not matter cause THEY WANT THE MONEY. KEEP GOOD RECORDS on visits, children behaviors, phone calls, money, time spent and not spent together & etc.

I work for a non-profit children's hospital. This is absolutely tragic and mind-numbingly callous. We already have Medicare, so I don't know what his ideological problem is with bridging the gap for uninsured, helpless citizens. We really do have a healthcare cost crisis in our country, no matter what our political affiliation, and punishing children is senseless to me.
5 :
He just doesn't get it. Some other countries have insurance for children/ families automatically. America is dead last.
6 :
I don't like it one bit..
7 :
he dont care cause we pay his health insurance for his sorry butt

I wonder how he would feel if you was trying to treat one of his kids and had no money and no insurance what a sorry excuse for a human being.

GOOD! Here in Ohio we have the CHIPP state health program for kids. Those vote-hungry Democrats want to make Bush look evil for saying no to kids. kids that are here illegally. Kids whose parents make $80000 a year. Kids who are 25 yrs old. Ohio has HUNDREDS of kids dropped off rosters because they are always changing eligibility each year. One year they cut 'gap' coverage'. next year, only under $24K a yr family of five was eligible (hey, then would qualify for medicaid, duh!) if a private insuance company behaved like this federal regulators would shut the company down. THIS IS SOCIALIZED MEDICINE IN DISGUISE. years ago, our parents/grandparents did something called "going out on strike' to get companies to pay benefits. Now, companies like Wal-Mart can pay minimal benefits because they know the government will step in and provide their workers health care benefits and food stamps. more profits to the company :)
