No problems as long as you don't mind naming your kids freakshow.

i have cousins that got married, they are black, and their kids turned out albino.

Though this kind of thing is personally kind of gross to me and morally unexceptable. Distant cousins probably have minimal biological and genetic problems to children. Albert Einstein married his cousin and had children with her disguistingly. A fact little people know about, but google it, it's fact.

If you are blood related then you should not be having children. If you want to marry your cousin then go for it. To each there own. I personally think there is something off about wanting to marry a blood related family member though. I'm not even sure that is legal in most states!!

yes im pretty sure there will be birth defects its the punishment god gives for family's members having kids together

There would probably be no problems. It is possible that people closely related might pass on similar weak genes, but you shouldn't have any problems. There are sometimes legal restrictions, but if it's legal for you it should be fine. Good luck.

It is dangerous to marry first cousins as any common family genetic problems can cause harm to the children you have. Do you want to cause harm to a child? Just as you would not marry your sister or aunt, your first cousin, regardless of your feeling for her, should be off limits. I would suggest you talk to your medical doctor or a psychologist. Just because you have emotional feelings toward her is not enough.

ok look, i know you probably are going to not even care what im going to say, but you really should. the marrying of ANY family member,in-law,cousin, sister, step sister, whatever, is just wrong. what if you married your mother? would that seem just plain wrong? well it goes for all in the family. plus, if anyone your child knows and if they know you both, your child would probably get made fun of. now, most people would disagree with me, but think about this; if you should marry whoever you 'love' how would you feel about an 86 year old man loving a child and wanting to get married? this is just an example. now, im not saying you shouldnt marry just because of MY opinion, do whatever you want, but i strongly advise you not to. re-think this.

well so long as you dont mind you and your kids being called rednecks, and being mocked for the rest of your lives, theres nothing morrally wrong with it, though there can be problems with child health, as the whole reason we dont have babies with our relatives is because for a child to be healthy, it needs a wide variety of genes, and being related by blood, you'll have simalar genes, which can cause weaknesses in immune sytems, slight mutations or deformaties or chances of cancer. This isnt set in all cases, obviously, and cases as severe as that are rare, but due to the lack of variety in genes, this can cause problems. The vearity in genes is what causes animals to eveole and adapt, its a suvival of the fittest gene type thing. look it up on a science site, its something you learn aged 15 =]

It is legal in some states in the U.S. In some states you have to prove that one or both partners is sterile before getting married, and in some states it's legal if you're too old to have babies. But I am a little confused. She is your mother's sister's daughter's cousin? She is old enough to marry you, right? That may be legal in every state here- I don't know for sure. As far as children, the reason why it's a problem is because when people are related they have a lot of genetic similarities. Say you have a gene for a certain disease. It doesn't matter if you actually HAVE the disease, just if you have the gene for it, which you probably don't even know you have it. Then, you marry your 1st cousin. Your cousin is likely to have the same gene because she is closely related to you. So, when you have a baby, you give the baby the gene, your wife gives the baby the gene, and presto. The gene goes into action and the baby has the disease in question. For this reason, it is NOT recommended for family members to have children together. The closer you are related, the more likely for problems and deformities to take place. Some of them are VERY serious. Often, when relatives have babies together, the babies have *very serious health problems.* I am not quite sure how closely you are related to your fiance, but if you really love each other, I am in no place to judge you. However, I would suggest you don't have children. Or at least see a doctor/ geneticist first to take some tests and see how safe it is for you 2 to have babies together. Are you able to adopt? Maybe you could consider that instead? Also, you should probably realize that people might frown on your marriage and that could affect the marriage and any children. I would see a professional counselor about this if I were you. If you do get married, I probably wouldn't publicize your blood relation because if you do have kids, people will make fun of them. Just look at how many people on this are calling it gross, etc. Personally, I don't really think marrying a distant cousin is the same thing as incest, but I wouldn't do it. But that is not what you are asking.

Why would you want to get with your cousin. Thats just gross. I have male cousins my age that are cute but I would NEVER have thought about them in a romantic way. That is what you call incest!

It's actually legal for cousins to have children, because they are not closely related enough for there to be any birth defects usually.
