health issues that affect a child’s development?
what are general health issues issues that may affect a child’s development. also would asthma and diabeties be health issues that would affect a child?

I'm not clear if you are talking about physical or mental development. Pretty much anything can affect the development. Common cases of jaundice can cause brain damage. Asthma is pretty common and I don't think their are any developmental issues but the steroids are bronchidilators that are used to treat asthma can cause delay in development. Diabetes is really complicated so in short, yes. Insulin is a growth hormone and diabetes is a condition of lack of insulin. Childhood parasitic infections can attack the brain, although rare.
