Can i get health insurance for a child only (She is under the age of one)?
I have company health insurance and it is great for single but way too expensive for families. I live in Florida.

If she was two or older, you'd be able to buy a great low/no deductible policy for her, for about $200 a month, assuming she's in good health. BUT. Right now, you'll only be able to buy a high deductible plan, for about $100 a month. Because that first year, is LOADED with well baby checkups and shots, you won't find an insurance company willing to cover that. That first year of ROUTINE medical care, if nothing goes wrong, and she doesn't get sick - can cost $8,000.

Yes, there are several companies out there who sell Child Only plans. Just do a websearch and start getting online quotes

Yes. Arbitrarily using 1/1/2010 as the date of birth and ZIP code 33442 (my grandmother used to live there), I ran a price check on http://www.ehealthinsurance.com to whether what was available and what it would cost. The lowest premium was $53.79 per month for Humana Monogram Total/7500 Plus Rx, but that has a $7500 deductible. The highest premium was $629 per month for Aetna POS Open Access First Dollar 35 with no deductible. Run this again (the website is http://www.ehealthinsurance.com ) using the correct date of birth and the correct zip code.
