can you homeschool your child if you have a mental health problem


can you homeschool your child if you have a mental health problem?
well my friend has a mental health problem and she wants to homeschool her child... Is This Possible ? She Hasnt Had It Since 4 years ago so she is doing well now.. would she still be able to homeschool her child ?? She Lives In Kent, UK. Thanks x

Sure she should be able. I don't see what harm it'll do... actually there are a lot of homeschool curriculums, online schools and so forth now that guide you and have your daily lesson plan laid out, if she chooses the right school or/and right curriculum she should be fine, that's the main issue. But I don't know what the school laws are in the UK for homeschooling. Anyway, if she thinks she can do it she can. But if her kid is difficult to manage (young child) she/you will need to question if she can handle it.

Of course. There are no laws prohibiting this, and if she has it under control like you say she does, then it shouldn't impair her ability to home educate her child. My mother home schooled me with OCD and mild depression, and I turned out to be very successful in my opinion.

Sure she can. You are aware, of course, that there are many mentally ill teachers in brick and mortar schools. All the best

Yes she can. She'll have company. There are t
eachers in brick and mortar schools *and* homeschooling parents who have mental health issues. As long as she has it under control, it should not interfere with her ability to homeschool her child.
